What are your overall thoughts on the Ed Tech program? (4 pts)

I thoroughly appreciated my experience with the Ed Tech Course at Team B. The workload was perfectly balanced, allowing ample time to complete tasks effectively. Throughout the course, I gained valuable insights into various technologies that can be seamlessly integrated into our classrooms. This newfound knowledge equips teachers like us to effectively introduce and share these innovative technologies with our students, enhancing their learning experience.
What were some of the most challenging topics of the program? (4 pts)

In my experience with EdTech Cohort 12, I discovered that merge letters and merge certificates were among the most challenging topics. However, I was genuinely impressed by the seamless integration of merge letters in the classroom during the cohort. These merge letters serve as a powerful tool that enables teachers to communicate effectively with both parents and students. By merging a standard letter template with a database of recipient information, teachers can personalize each communication by including specific details such as names, addresses, and other relevant information. This personalized approach not only enhances communication but also streamlines mass mailings or customized communications for each recipient.

Furthermore, delving into the implementation of merge certificate programs in the classroom has unveiled a valuable tool for recognizing and rewarding students for their achievements. By merging a standard certificate template with a database of student information, educators can individualize each certificate with details like student names, accomplishments, dates, and other pertinent information. This personalized method not only enhances the recognition process but also simplifies the distribution of certificates for various academic achievements, such as academic excellence, attendance, or participation in extracurricular activities. Utilizing merge certificates can motivate students, boost their self-esteem, and instill a sense of pride in their accomplishments.
What was the most important thing you have learned in the program? (4 pts)

The most valuable lesson I gained from the program was the significance of patience, perseverance, and consistent practice when tackling assignments and programs to adapt to new technologies. These qualities proved to be essential in navigating the complexities of learning and mastering emerging technologies. Through patience, I cultivated the resilience needed to overcome

challenges and setbacks. With perseverance, I remained dedicated to my goals even when faced with obstacles. Additionally, continuous practice honed my skills and deepened my understanding of the new technology, enabling me to adapt and thrive in an ever-evolving digital landscape.

How has the program benefited you in your workplace/classroom? (4 pts)

My students and I have reaped the rewards of participating in EdTech Cohort 12 as I have been able to share the valuable technology skills and knowledge I acquired with them. By integrating the latest educational technology tools and strategies into my teaching practices, I have enhanced the learning experience for my students and equipped them with essential digital skills for their academic and professional growth.
