Digital Citizenship Reflection

What is the most important thing you learned in this course? (5 pts)

Digital literacy is the most important thing I learned from this course. I learned more on how to  improve my ability to use information and determine fact from fiction when reading an online source.  Digital literacy is a great tool to help correct and improve  the reading levels of the students. Also, the technological resources and lessons are available in the CNMI Public School System in helping the student catch up with their classmates.

Digital Citizenship in Class KagES @C104

One idea is to invite a guest speaker to visit our classroom to talk about Digital Citizenship. For example inviting personnel from CNMI Department of Public Safety (CNMI DPS) to discuss the dangers of sharing personal information online. We can also invite people from DOCOMO or IT & E  to talk about how they screen the social media profiles of potential employees. In addition, Department of Youth Services (DYS)  Counselors can be invited to discuss  cyber bullying. Students will be creating brochures, art projects, and posters promoting digital citizenship are additional ideas that we can do in our classroom.
